“Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it possibly, without claiming it, she stands up for all women.”
- Maya Angelou -
I want everyone to know that they have a voice. No matter how big or small. No matter if it shakes when they speak. They deserve to be heard. They need to know that their opinions matter. I believe that we have an opportunity to change the way the world views mental health and to end the associated stigma.
I started my journey in mental health when I was 17 years old. My first after school job was in a file room with paper charts. That part time job eventually turned into a full-time job where I started to learn additional administrative and billing duties and responsibilities. Although most of my experience has been in mental health, I also worked in a daycare setting, pain management billing, and professional hospital billing. However, I always found my way back to the mental health field. I am extremely passionate about this field and Mental Edge!

I was born in California and moved to Delaware when I was a freshman in high school. My initial goal in life was to be a navy corpsman, but I was disqualified from all branches of service due to a heart murmur. I then decided to go to Alvernia University to major in nursing and play lacrosse. In 2016, I started a company called Uplifted Co with my friend Ezra. I recognized my passion to help and inspire others. I believe that everyone has the gifts necessary to change the world, but only those with the right mindset and guidance actually do. My goal is to lead by example and provide guidance for a successful life through my work and interactions.

My personal philosophy is “living a simple life". I try to be as frugal as I can be. Planting my own food and gardens, canning and making my own foods, drying herbs, and using the things around the house instead of always spending money. This is my kind of simplicity. I want to live and follow a peaceful way of living. Move slowly, work happily, show people how much you car for them. Let your light shine and hope others will follow.
I have worked in Customer Service for 40 years, most of my years spent at Dover Air Force Base. Starting out in the 436 Service Sq. at the lodging office. And then moving to the 436 Communication Sq. as a switch board operator helping many service men and women from all over the world the world to reach their families. What an honor and experience it was to work for our military installation.

“Don’t be ashamed of your story, it will inspire others.”
I live my life by this quote, “Success is not just about what you accomplish in your life. It is about what you inspire others to do.” In each interaction, regardless of the person’s background, I take the moment to take off my shoes and gently place theirs upon my feet; just for a moment, so that I can feel their hurt, their struggles, their happiness, and their joy. I acknowledge the power of love; love for others, but also love for yourself. One of the most beautiful manifestations comes from within. When we look in the mirror, the person looking back is the unique and beautiful you, the you that deserves so much love. Through every interaction, I seek to convey through compassion, empathy, and hope, one statement, “You Matter.”

I am one of the first faces you see when you walk into the office . I am always smiling, but I am very quiet. I have two kids. My current life goals include being the best me I can be; Wife, Mother, employee & Student. I have decided to FINALLY take the first steps in starting my education in Behavioral Science. I am currently a full time Nursing Assistant on the weekends. My heart is definitely in the right place to help everyone I come in contact with.

My personal philosophy is that things are out there but a smile, making someone laugh, being kind doesn’t take a lot but it can certainly mean a lot to others.
I have worked in medical office for a total of 3 years. I have also been an office manager for a small wifi company and a teachers aide for preschool for several years prior to that I was at home with my three girls.
