Higher Level of Care also known as Public Behavioral Health (PBH) is a program for children 18 and under who have exhausted other traditional outpatient therapeutic efforts.

Treatment takes place within the community, not inside of our facility. This could look like going to the park, a community center, school etc. The purpose of program taking place in the community is to practice therapeutic methods in real life situations, under the supervision of a mental health care team.

The child’s care team will consist of:
Mobile Outpatient Clinician (MOP):
The clinician develops the treatment plan.
Therapeutic Support Facilitator (TSF):
They enact the treatment plan.
Stay in constant communication with family in regards to child’s progress and needs.
Meet with the child 3-6 hours per week.

Your child must be referred by their current mental health treatment provider to receive these services. They do not need to be a current patient with Mental Edge Counseling to receive this service.
